Originally from the Loire Valley, Florent Chevreuil founded Ecosse Bespoke Carpentry and Joinery near Edinburgh in 2012. Florent has been working with wood for 15 years, and has been involved in all aspects of carpentry and joinery, including the design and manufacture of interior and exterior woodwork, two-dimensional woodwork, straight and spiral staircases, technical drawing, laminating and finishing.
His work has included assignments for private residences, shops, hotels, restaurants, churches and a private jet. In 2007, Florent gained a Brevet de matrise (Master's Certificate) from the Chambre de Mtiers (Chamber of Trades). In the UK this is equivalent to an Advanced Diploma in Professional Joinery.

The heart of many homes, your bespoke kitchen can have custom-made hardwood cabinets, dovetail drawers and doors designed to your taste. Our gates are assembled with traditional wedged mortise/tenon joints to stand the test of time.
At Ecosse Bespoke we manage the complete process for you from initial design right through to installation, keeping you informed of progress at each stage. At this initial meeting, we visit your home or premises to assess at first hand what your requirements are. We may also propose some ideas of our own.

Florent and his team helped design, build and install a large built in bookshelf for our lounge. It was exactly what we asked for, and was installed when they said it would be. They also overcame a few logistical issues getting the shelf inside our home without any fuss or trouble. Overall, from start to finish, it was straightforward and pain free with the end result exceeding our expectations. Would happily recommend to friends and family.

Florent designed and built a large, custom bookcase to fit a wall in our living room. The job was done quickly and efficiently and the quality of the workmanship is outstanding. I would definitely engage Florent again for any future work and would happily recommend his services to anyone. We're absolutely delighted with the end result.
