Established in 1993, Acorn Plant Hire is very much a family business, run by father and son for over 20 years. With very few companies in the market at that time offering a door to door service, we began with a single 1 tonne mini tracked excavator and quickly expanded, meeting a growing demand from smaller businesses who need to hire plant equipment for site clearance, landscaping and other projects.
We offer a range of modern fleet operations to suit your needs, whatever the scale of your project. Whether you need a mini excavator or a twenty tonne one, we can match your requirements to the right machinery for the job to help you get it done efficiently and at the best possible price. Alongside excavators, we can offer tracked and wheeled dump trucks from 3 tonne to 20 tonne, D5 and D6 bulldozers and more.
Acorn Plant Hire as just won a major contract in Hawkshaw Bolton to install land drainage to a private land owner, this also includes new service roads and installation of a main water supply and the installation of water troughs to various paddocks.
We found the need to employ C.Ball Forestry to remove and mulch willow trees from our next stage of land drainage, working with Chris specialized equipment keeps us on schedule and the customer happy, we found the need to take on more temporary staff to cover our increasing work load which is good news alround.
