Prestige Carpet Care and Cleaning was established in 2005 by Chris Sale as a sole trader carpet and upholstery cleaning company. Chris purchased second hand equipment along with a very second hand van from a carpet cleaner leaving the trade to get the company started. Chris learnt his trade by shadowing other professional carpet cleaners and attending industry recognized training courses.
Since then the company has grown year on year with much of the business coming by word of mouth and repeat clients. Prestige has worked closely with many of the estate agents in St Albans and Harpenden carrying out over 2000 cleans for agents and land landlords alone. Prestige Carpet Care and Cleaning now employs professional technicians who work with Chris and provide a wide range of professional cleaning and restoration services.

When it comes to cleaning carpets there are several methods available, the aim of all is the same; to remove as much of, if not all, the accumulated dust, grit and general soiling as possible. The most common methods are, hot water extraction (often inaccurately referred to as steam cleaning), Shampooing and the use of impregnated compounds which are mechanically worked into the carpet and subsequently removed using powerful vacuum extraction.

This system is especially effective on hard-to-clean natural fibres such as wool, sisal and seagrass. We also recommend using dry carpet cleaning where there are moisture sensitive items or where wet carpets would cause inconvenience.

Very professional Service.
Would highly recommend this company!
We thought we were going to have to replace our carpet due to our puppy having lots of accidents. We used all types of carpet cleaner sprays which didn’t do the job.
Prestige cleaned our carpets Two days ago and it looks like brand new.

The service I experienced from prestige carpets was second to none! I needed my carpets done urgently at the last minute. Chris and his colleague came by and done an excellent job. The results were fantastic. Professional, courteous and top class results. Nothing was too much trouble. This company goes the extra mile and they certainly deserve this review.

Absolutely brilliant! Called Prestige out to come and clean our cream wool carpet which had unfortunately got stained. Carpet cleaned to a very high standard. Stains were completely removed and now the carpet looks like new! I cannot recommend Prestige enough. I will definitely use again in the future.

When Chris and his team turned up, the flat I was about to rent out the next day (my first attempt at renting a flat) had a filthy carpet (dog hairs, cigarette residue, carpet tape stains etc), even filthier appliances in the kitchen, and windows and frames that needed a very good clean. By the time they finished, the carpets, windows, kitchen (including appliances) and bathroom were transformed from shabby to sparkly. I found it hard to believe that anyone could make that much difference in a day. They were brilliant!
