Get help from the Filey Surgery with our new 24h online consultation service, easier and quicker than phoning the surgery. The Filey Surgery aims to provide high quality healthcare to the people of Filey and its surrounding district.

Our doctors, nurses and all other staff are dedicated to offering a professional service and this surgery website will help us to keep all our patients up to date with news and information about our practice and allow us to welcome new patients who wish to join us.GP practices are required to provide all their patients with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to them.
Services
General Practices across Scarborough and Ryedale are now offering Extended Access to routine practice services, with appointments from 6.30pm to 8pm and at the weekend. Ask your reception team for details. During normal hours (08:00 - 18:00, Monday to Friday) one of our practice team will deal with your problem.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS. If you are travelling to Europe a very useful booklet has been published with advice and guidance to help you get the most out of your holiday.
We are a training practice and are joined by fully qualified Doctors from the hospital for six to twelve months at a time. They see the difference between hospital and general practice and we all benefit from their particular skills, experience and knowledge of new advances. They are very capable Doctors so please consult them as you would your usual Doctor.
Storing information in one place makes it easier for healthcare staff to treat you in an emergency, or when your GP practice is closed. This information could make a difference to how a doctor decides to care for you, for example which medicines they choose to prescribe for you. No, it is not compulsory.
