Sunderland LGV Driver Training is a family owned and operated business that was founded in 2011. Since then, we have taught and passed thousands of successful and safe drivers. The founder and first instructor, David Crouch, has over 25 years experience in driving and training others to drive LGVs and HGVs.

At Sunderland LGV Driver Training we offer a wide range of training courses for customers wanting to drive cars towing trailers, minibuses and buses through to fully articulated HGVs. Our students drive from all over the North East to our training facility in Sunderland to get the best training and greatest pass rates in the region.
At the point of application with Ideal4Finance, a soft credit search will be performed which will not affect your credit score. Couldn’t fault these in the slightest as soon as I messaged them about wanting to do me class 2 licence they talked me through everything I needed to do step by step, sent me all the theory revision an booked everything in for me all I had to do was revise an turn up, I’ll defiantly be back next year to do me class 1 licence.

Passed my Category D bus license this week with Sunderland LGV, can’t praise them enough, excellent and relaxed training and the staff helped assure me all the way through, even when I was a nervous wreck on the day of the test 😂
Really good value for money and the yard is well equipped for training for the reverse etc.

Spot on company staff are spot on and the training is well given, I never drove one before but by my final day of training I was doing it really well and had improved to be a good driver and helped me loads and the staff will help with any questions you have and will help as much as possible and are very polite. Sean one of the instructors top notch instructor number one instructor.

On August 2020 I passed my HGV Class 2 driving license. David instructor was professional and gave me grate tips to pass my license. I drove nice Scania and everything went fine. Highly recommend this place do not hesitate and book your place. Big thank you to girls in office and instructors.

Great set of lads and lasses at Sunderland LGV. Did my B+E trailer license training and test, From making the first phonecall and speaking to Dave, everything was very friendly and professional. Steph was very friendly and helpful with any questions I had leading up to the start of my training. Paul the instructor was very professional and knowledgable. Dave was also really helpful on the day of my test. Having never towed a trailer before, I passed the test first attempt!! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to do any driver training, B+E all the way up to D1+E and everything in between

What a Training centre this is!!!!!
I wanted my D license (Bus) but wanted to do it around my work. This entailed some late evenings but wasn't a problem for Sunderland LGV.
The owner Dave trained me from start to finish. His approach to teaching is outstanding! Relaxed, fun and informative.
Amanda in the office was brilliant! Nothing was a bother.
I wanted finance so I wasn't pulling out a lump sum....... No problem at all, sorted straight away.
One thing I have forgotten to mention........ Passed first time 😁😁

Fantastic place to go for LGV training. Passed my Class 1 & 2 here and can't speak highly enough of everyone who works here. Steph, Dave, Terry, Paul and all the other instructors all make the company what it is. From day one I was helped through the process from advice about medical, CPC training and they are always approachable to give advice. Highly recommend!!
