Riverside is a quiet, secluded countryside park, which is open all year, just a few hundred yards from the A38 in Plymouth, Devon. Convenient for easy access to the beautiful South Hams' beaches, Dartmoor National Park, Cornwall and Brittany Ferries port in Plymouth. Riverside enjoys a very pleasant position amongst the Plym Valley with plenty of open space on a level, well drained site, bordered by both the River Plym and ancient woodland.
A large herd of fallow deer roam freely in the local woods occasionally being spotted disappearing into the undergrowth or maybe grazing in the grassland at the edges of the wood. Other mammals found in the area include stoats, weasels, foxes, badgers, whilst there has been recorded the rare signs of otters on a few occasions.

Truly woeful customer service.
Below is a word for word account of my experience today .
Enquired at reception about bringing our van over from France in the low season and was met with a shake of the head..."No . We're not taking vans off the ferry ".
Why ?
"Covid " (Thinks ... France has had a fraction of UK daily cases for months )
Is that the norm?
" It's something we've decided do"
Until when ?
"I don't have crystal ball"
So, if and when restrictions are lifted can we book a pitch for the low season from Nov till Jan ?
"No. You can't stay more then three weeks at a time"
Oh, I didn

Stayed here in a motorhome for 3 nights. Lovely site surrounded by trees. The place is a bit dated but the showers are hot and maintained to a good standard of cleanliness. The location of the park is excellent. You have access to lovely riverside walks or bike rides just at the park entrance and a reliable bus sevice can be found just minutes from the park if you want to explore Plymouth. Well worth a visit.

Lovely campsite. Great clean facilities and nice sized well maintained pitches. Everyone very friendly. Dogs are allowed on a lead and there is a nice dog walk and river right next to the campsite. Heated outdoor pool. Food is very good too. We ate in the restaurant but there is also a takeaway on site.

We booked 4 nights in June but had to come back home after one night due to personal reasons. They said we could rebook later in the year which we did. We have just come home from our 4 night stay. Again, another issue happened, this time with the car. Riverside were extremely helpful both times and very accommodating. The site is quiet, clean and very friendly. Recommend highly.
Thank you

Well laid out, well kept, quiet site with woodland one side and shallow stream the other side. Close to Plymouth for boating. Large pitch size, allowing plenty of room for our 5 man tent, toilet tent, car and 14 ft boat. Clean facilities with hot showers, washing up rooms, washing machines, tumble driers. Take away, bar, restaurant, swimming pool and children's play are on site. One star removed for ? generator noise that can be heard over the site, day and night. It maybe not audible from vans as no other mention of it. It wouldn't stop me returning. Staff helpful. I have seen comments about campsite
