At Posto our passion is serving freshly-cooked, amazing tasting Indian food from the city of Kolkata. The word "Posto" in the Bengali language means "poppy seeds, " an important ingredient in traditional Bengali-Indian cuisine. In Italian, Posto means 'the place' or 'meeting place'.
The two meanings are great way to describe our food and our philosophy: small flavourful plates of freshly-prepared food inspired by Bengali and Kolkata cuisine, and served in a warm, relaxing setting that is perfect for an afternoon lunch, a light evening meal, or a dinner and night out with friends and family.Our journey started with our founder Pritha's first supper club at her small flat in north-west London.

Posto was established in 2018. Started as a supper club, Posto soon had it's own restaurant in Harrow. Now Posto brings you the Porto-Tiffins service to reach out to areas that the normal delivery services won't cover. Our food: Posto serves food thatare traditional and inspired by various cuisines from across India: Mughal, Awadhi, Goan, Indo- Chinese, Indo-Persian, Indo-Portuguese, British and many more.

We went Posto for our Christmas eve dinner on 24th December 2021, We had a horrible experience didn’t expect that as a reputable restaurant posto serve that kind of unhygienic food. we ordered famous Fish Cutlet that came over cooked and fish definitely look old not fresh pieces. There after main we ordered Kolkata mutton biriyani & Nalli Gosht, food they serve feel not too fresh but because of reputable restaurant we ate the food with out complain. But It was horrible next day morning we both having food poisoning symptoms as started vomiting & Diarrhoea whole day, wast out Christmas day at

Visited the place for the second time after the pandemic. Authentic taste of the Bengali cuisines, cannot comment on the full menu as I haven't tried other dishes. Lovely host and amazing taste. Only losing a star as I think the portion sizes can be a bit better for the price.
Highly recommended if you are looking for original and authentic Bengali flavours.

Amazing food with authentic Bengali taste. We ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were fantastic. The staff were lovely and were very accommodating to us even though we arrived quite late. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for typical Kolkata cuisine (felt like we were back home). It would be great if another branch opened up in the north of England.

A "Bangali" (eng. Bengali) from Calcutta living in London/Europe has only one "daabi" (eng. Demand) - Good, Ghoroa (eng. homely) Bangali food. Pritha (the owner of Posto) has done a marvelous job in maintaining the authenticity of our culture via her dishes. You will find Aloo Posto & Maacher Kalia to Mutton Kosha & of course the amazing fish fry with Kasundi. I was literally reminded of my mother's home cooked Cholar Dal (a kind of lentils). If you stay in London, this should be your favourite place to eat & if you are visiting here, do not miss the dinner adda here.

Extremely high standard of cuisine, coupled with great cozy and warm restaurant atmosphere. Very courteous and professional staff. Enjoyed thoroughly. Your welcoming and affectionate nature just made my days. I would love to visit Posto again in near future.

I really liked this place. The service was exceptional. My favourite dish was the daal makhni (or black daal). Close to one of the best I have had. This place is a high 4. My friends enjoyed the restaurant as well.
We ordered quite a lot. There was a large party and our group in the restaurant. The staff were so accommodating it was almost like being at home. They made recommendations and suggestions and were even willing for us to order items off menu. We had the chilli paneer, the peas kachori (peas puri and potato curry), jackfruit curry, aubergine curry, daal makhni and puri.
My only complaint

Absolutely delicious authentic Bengali food (coming from a Bengali guy). Closest to the taste I could relate back from Kolkata. Still some areas to improve taste wise in some dishes but much better than any typical Indian/ Bengali restaurant. Highly recommended for those seeking to try authentic Indian food from the Bengal region.

Wow! Posto showed me that Indian food can be done so differently.
I've never like the look or taste of beetroot, yet I kept going back for more of their tasty beetroot balls.
If you are looking for an Indian cuisine that is different and a new taste then look no further.
Great service and friendly atmosphere. We held an event with 27 people & their team were able to handle us. I'm going to definitely recommended this restaurant to my friends and family.
