APS Masonry Ltd has a history spanning over 200 years and is synonymous with fine stonemasonry. Originally forming part of the Symm Group, in 2016 it looked like the masonry side of the business was likely to close. Cotswold Natural Stone Ltd thought it would be a great asset to work alongside their quarried stone business so decided to put in a bid to purchase the business.
They were successful. At Cotswold Natural Stone we have our own masonry manufacturing works but without the specialised equipment they have at here (at APS). We thought that adding this equipment and the knowledge of the guys to what we already had would make the business even more successful. It would enable us to provide a service at a higher level.

Our masonry design and production team offer an extensive range of high quality, crafted limestone dressings for the detailing of stone and brick built, traditional and modern buildings. We work with you to ensure a high-quality finish and a well-fitted product that will enhance any new build or restoration project.

We can help you every step of the way - from the choice of stone, to the design, and then onto the installation. Hand-carved from natural limestone, our fire surrounds have a quality that is hard to match.
The craftsmanship of our stonemasons can be seen in a number of Oxford's historic landmark buildings through our remedial and restoration work on the weather and pollution damaged stonework. We also work on restoration projects for a variety of private homes, churches, shops, and other buildings. We work on projects such as decaying window mullions and other minor damage, as well as repairs to items such as garden statuary and landscaping.
