Meols Hall
The Tithe Barn is surrounded by 100 acres of wonderful wooded parkland suitable for a wide variety of activities, including clay pigeon shooting, horse riding, archery and off-road driving and much more. One of the finest examples of its kind in the North West of England. This 400 year old barn has been meticulously restored by local craftsmen and combines modern facilities with old world charm to make any event a perfect one.

The utterly unspoilt traditional cobbled courtyard provides ample space for large private events, exhibition displays or product launches. It can be covered to provide more space for the most elaborate creative plans. Meols Hall Estate has a dream of wooded and grassy parkland, ideal for any and every challenging outdoor activity.
Services
Meols Hall has survived since the early reign of King John and has passed through 27 generations to the present owner. Before the Norman Conquest, the Manor of North Meols was held by 5 Thanes, thought to have been descendants of Odda, the original Norse Settler of the 'mels' or sandhills of the Lancashire Coast.
Not many wedding venues equal the charm of the Tithe Barn, Southport's historical Manor House situated in the grounds of Meols Hall, Churchtown. Local craftsmen, using traditional methods have ensured the four hundred year old barn retains all its original features, but also includes a modern, fully equipped kitchen, bar facilities, superb lighting and sound system.
This is a venue that provides more opportunities than a convention centre or an hotel. Here it's easy to take a walk through the woods in-between talks/presentations, or to sit outside, having a well-earned break in the cobbled courtyard, to discuss the day's lessons. Meols Hall Tithe Barn is also popular for product launches and as an escapist country venue for staff motivation, team building and incentive schemes.
Please give us a call and arrange to come and see us, or to ask us any questions you might have about your special event. We'd love to help. Check out our social media to see what's going on at Meols Hall and for some inspiration to get your special event ideas flowing. The main gates are situated opposite the Hesketh Arms and across from the parish church of St Cuthbert's.

We held our wedding here two weeks ago…..
The venue is amazing… the courtyard, grounds, coach house and the fabulous tithe barn itself! We held our ceremony there also, which we fell in love with!!
The venue it self is stunning… we went very minimal with decorations as the venue doesn’t need it! Literally could walk in and have it how it comes !
The staff… Julia and Sue, what a team !!! We can’t thank them enough… they are simply lovely ladies, all throughout lockdown and 3 dates later, nothing was ever a problem. I emailed ALOT and Julia always replied she was always a click away

The ladies at Meols Hall are fantastic, we had to move our wedding twice due to COVID and the venue were amazing, helping us to reserve a back up date just in case and talking through all possible scenarios if the restrictions were to change. Luckily we were able to have the wedding day we had originally planned in September and the sun was shining just to top it off. It was perfect and my wife looked stunning! Thank you once again to Julia, Sue and Pam for looking after us, we can’t recommend them highly enough!!! Helen & Gemma

I went to look around the house and gardens.. The gardens are just flat grass or fields... Nothing to look at. The house was about 4 rooms. A complete waste of money not well organised.. There was a wedding on and we felt a bit like we were crashing ... No signed parking I wouldnt go again. I didn't tske ant photos.. As there was nothing worth capturing

Really nice chilled out location, if I lived in the area I would consider it for a special occasion. The bar staff were nice, the drinks reasonably priced... I only went to the evening do, so I couldn't say about the food.

We held a belated celebration of our Mum's life( who died last year)here at the Coach House, at Meols Hall. It is a lovely setting. There is inside seating and all the front of the building opens up onto a huge courtyard, with outside seating and a large, heated parasol.
Sue, the lady who looks after you, is lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. And the Square Leg Catering was excellent.
A lovely afternoon to reminisce with Family and friends.
Thank you so much.

My partner and I visited Meols Hall as the first venue when looking for a wedding venue. We didn't bother looking anywhere else... it is amazing! We both fell in love with it, as did all of our guests. The women here are incredible, so easy to work with when planning, always happy to help and were brilliant on the day too!

Attended our family/friends wedding here recently as is not open to the public. What a beautiful wedding venue, the day was excellently planned and all went smoothly, the staff were helpful in sorting taxis for guests and the member of staff I spoke to when I returned to collect my car was also super friendly. Thankyou.

A great way to spend an hour. Interesting house to visit. Great views over countryside from the garden which is mainly lawn with short herbaceous borders. Only open in school summer holidays and most bank holidays.

Throughout the planning and the wedding day itself, all the staff at Meols were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I cannot find any fault from start to finish.
Thank you Sue, Pam, and Julia! Your efforts are really appreciated and helped us have a fantastic day that we will never forget.

Meol's Hall is Southport's historical manor house probably built in Elizabethan times. It's simple and beautiful. Unfortunately you can't go and visit but you can get married there, hire it for Golf and Country Pursuit Parties, or be there as part of an activity day - clay shooting, quad bikes, 4 x 4 driving, team building and a few more, given the acres of idyllic wooded parkland that surrounds it and close to the village of Churchtown. If you do decide to take part in an activity day there, you can then enjoy a lunch of local game pie and home-made rice pudding served in the

I have been to Meols Hall twice both time for a weddings. It is a beautiful place and very old so have a lot of history around it.Meols Hall Is a manor house so the rooms and decoration are very grand and special. The wedding area is at Tithe barn which is a building on the estate and is surrounded by lots of parkland so you can get great pictures while you are there, it really is beautiful.

I do know that Meols Hall is a very expensive place to have your wedding but they do specialist a lot for you, this goes as far as organising transport(even horse and cart) and you can even decide what furniture
