Services
The kennels at Allenwood are purpose-built for housing your pets and are maintained to a very high standard to ensure your dog is safe, secure and stress-free during their time with us. All of our facilities have warm air central heating systems, double glazing and cavity wall insulation. This provides warm accommodation during the colder months and cool accommodation during the summer months.
The Catteries are purpose-built for housing your pets and are maintained to a very high standard. We have a fully equipped and modern grooming parlour on site where our dog groomer Ann-Marie, offers professional and experienced styling at competitive prices. We offer everything from nail clips & bathing, to breed standard full grooms for your dog. Appointments can be made while your dog is staying with us, or an appointment can be made as a day visitor.
Although most of our customers board their pets with us whilst they are away on holiday, many will be moving home, having a spell in hospital or having building work done on the house. Whatever the reason, we are there to make your life easier. Every member of the Allenwood Kennels team works to ensure your pet is in safe hands and is treated as an individual.
We are a 10 minute drive from junction 43 on the M6 and only one mile from the A69 to Newcastle. This is a convenient location for anyone travelling to Newcastle airport, Manchester airport and Glasgow airport. My 2 puppys stayed here for 2 nights jack Russell and shih tzu
When arriving to pick them up the kennal floor was soaking wet, my tess (shih tzu) was soaking wet there bedding was removed for how long before i dont know.
The lady had said she had been sitting in the water bowl!!
When we had got them home we bathed them right away and the dirty water that came off them was unbelievable
We will not be using them again

We placed our little spaniel, (Cheeky Charlie!) here again. We had to book in at extremely short notice but Richard was so accommodating with our timings. Matthew was also so attentive towards Charlie and when he returned home settled instantly. The kennels are just immaculate and we wouldn’t go anywhere else now as we have the peace of mind knowing our little dog is so well looked after at Allenwood. We will see you next time. Thank you.

I went on my holidays here recently when my mummy and daddy were away on their own holiday. It was the first time I stayed here and I was so well looked after. The staff looked after me so welI and I had lots of fun too. My mummy and daddy were so pleased with my condition when they collected me and told me I smelled lovely and not the usual smell us little doggies can get having been in kennels, They are going to let me stay here in future when they go away as they were delighted. The place is spotless too. I am a little cocker spaniel and would certainly recommend Allenwood to all doggies to

Great services, staff lovely, felt comfortable leaving my dog with them. Kennels and pens huge well maintained and very warm and cosy. Grounds lively and ample staff and volunteers to work with the boarders. Nothing was too much bother, they asked all the right questions leaving me with a feeling of confidence. Was a superb first experience for me and for the 🐕 will happily return again

Always happy to leave our 12yr old family cat Mylo here where he has 'home from home' care given by the lovely helpers. He is so settled and has no trouble at adapting between home and Allenwood and vice versa. The individual cat accommodation is always spotless at whatever time we arrive. Thank you to all
