Ben Cunliffe Architects
Ben Cunliffe Architects, based in the Lake District National Park, designs innovative, elegant, sustainable architecture. Established in 2001, the company has brought together talented architects and designers who endeavour to make design and construction an enjoyable and exciting experience for clients.

Our schemes derive their inspiration from their surroundings, their orientation and their function. With careful consideration beautiful spatial sequences are created that celebrate the use of natural light and materials. We prefer not to impose any predetermined style or aesthetic onto our schemes, and we have procured traditional and contemporary buildings in the private, public and commercial sectors.
Services
25 years ago when I started my architectural career, most environmental systems were cut from developments at costing stage. All architects and the industry now exult environmental design and rightly so. It has been said that we, at Ben Cunliffe Architects, have not highlighted our beliefs or knowledge in this field.

We have worked with Ben and the team over the last 8 years on a number of projects within our hospitality business.
Their creativity and design is second to none and along with their knowledge and expertise on the National Park planning regulations makes these guys a great team to work with, especially since our projects have always been grade II listed.

Positive: Professionalism
We used Ben Cunliffe to design, manage and interior design our extensive refurbishment and extension in Bowness. We are incredibly pleased with the end results having created a bespoke, individual home. Ben, Rachel and the team did an excellent job and our dream home is now a reality.

Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness
We have contracted BCA for the design and management of works at a grade 2 listed property. They are very responsive and knowledgeable, especially with regards to planning issues within the National Park. We would highly recommend BCA.
