Nice campsite near the Scottish border. Not far from Otterburn, and Jedburgh. Pitch was good, level and close to the toilet and waste facilities. Excellent location for walking dogs, close to the Kielder Forest Drive. If you want to see the stars in the sky at night, this is the place to stay. Shower block was dated - lights not working, so showered in near darkness. But clean, and that's the main thing. Would definitely recommend if you want a nice quiet campsite with some scenic walks that is dog friendly.

Ideally situated for visiting Kielder Forest, Hadrian's Wall. Pennine Way right next to the campsite. Small river for messing about in and around. Some really nice walks straight out of the grounds. Easy to access too, being directly off an A road. Friendly and helpful staff and some on-site pigs to pet! Bring supplies - there is a small shop about 10-15mins drive away, but it won't have everything you need. Northumberland coast is just over an hour away. Druridge Bay was nice for a day trip.

Would have been 5 stars was it not for the dog mess (not owners fault) and noisy 5 dogs on the site (same owner), who were often not controlled (site owner should restrict the amount of dogs allowed). Great walks for well behaved dogs in the forest and swimming for well behaved dogs in river. We will be back.

Excellent location, peaceful atmosphere, loads of interesting walks and wildlife from deer to squirrels many birds and crystal clear streams, forest trails and right on the pennine way.
Adventures abound for those who are willing to go of the trail and seek the real outdoors.
Spacious hardstand with grass to side electric hookups, toilets and showers when Covid allows very helpful staff on site.
