Just spent two days here and it's absolutely perfect! Left to get on with camping and have fun. Children can play and night times were a pleasure! Also the bathroom was immaculate. Never grubby and well maintained toilets/showers, fantastic to see! Definitely one of best camping experiences and would highly recommend.
The earliest arrival time is 12pm, latest arrival is 6pm unless otherwise arranged via email. All pitches must be vacated by 11am on day of departure with no exceptions. We have 12 spacious fully serviced hard standing pitches and a further 8 electric only hard standing pitches. A further 20 pitches are for mixed use including tents.
Turn off the M6 at J36 follow A590 west to Broughton-in-Furness, passing through Newby Bridge. Follow the A595 through Bootle, Muncaster to Holmrook. At the approach to Holmrook turn right for Santon Bridge, follow road to the end, passing Irton Hall (on your left) and Wasdale Craft Shop (on your left) at the junction turn left and we are at the bottom of the hill near to the river.

First day out of 5, going pretty well! We set up the tent, theres a River next to "The Bridge Inn" which you can walk in! At night, the Water feels relaxing to hear. There's free WiFi and toilets, though showers are for 50p and family showers with laundries are 1 Pound! Definately coming back here in the future! I recommend, really calm here.

Small but perfectly formed site with a variety of pitches. Toilets and showers were very well-kept. The site itself is located next to a river, with its own little "beach", which is great for children to have a refreshing dip. Very convenient for Nether Wasdale, Wasdale Head and Wastwater to name but a few.
