Oak Tree Productions is an award winning independent film production company based in Glasgow, Scotland. It was established in 2000 by filmmaker and actor Paul Darroch shortly after graduating with an Honours Degree in Film, Television and Theatre Studies. Our main aim is to create high quality productions which are both innovative and varied in terms of theme, style and content.
We also take the environment seriously and always aim to ensure that each production is made with as little waste and impact on the environment as possible. As well as being presented with the Go Greener Foundations Award by Chris Hines MBE, we are members of Creative Carbon Scotland's 'Green Arts Initiative', Plastic Busters 'AdoptTheWorld Initiative' and are also BAFTA Albert trained in sustainable film & television production.

Oak Tree Productions were absolutely brilliant to work with during our three day conference at the Gleneagles Hotel. From start to finish, they were professional and incredibly helpful in steering us in the right direction. It is very easy to loose the run of yourself when organising a video shoot, but Oak Tree Productions were able to understand what we were trying to capture and were always there to offer professional advice throughout.
In 2011 the charity of which I'm Chief Executive held its 50th anniversary dinner, which also doubled as a high profile fund-raiser. It was vital to us that we got the message over to our guests about the work that we do. Oak Tree Productions put together a most compelling promotional video that got that message across so well.

Community groups across Scotland are leading the way in moving from dirty fossil fuels to harnessing our vast renewable energy potential. This film shows how ordinary people have made this journey, celebrating local success stories and hopefully inspiring others to start their own renewable projects.
Oak Tree Productions made a splendid 'behind the scenes' documentary about the artists and film-makers involved in the making of our short-film "Troubadours", and indeed what our production company, Shoestring Pictures, is all about. I would certainly recommend Oak Tree Productions to anyone who wishes a 'making of' documentary, where their professionalism shines through from the camera work to the final editing.
