Halifax customer services are good. It has plenty network branches as well. I have one near my house as well. It is really handy. The interest rate on its current account is good as well. The money transfer is good as well. To transfer money from my halifax account to my boyfriend halifax account takes a second which is great. To transfer to another bank, you need to book transfer one working day before, which is not too good. You get paper bank statement for free even if your account is only basic account, which is great. A&L got better interest rate but it charges you £5 to get paper bank

Halifax bank has always been my favourite. I hope it will still offer high interest rate current account and good Loan To value mortgages when it is taken over by lloyds tsb, which I don't think It will. However, so far, Halifax is the best. It has absolutely loads of branches in newcastle. It is really good network branch. I don't have to go city centre to pop in to its branch. it is everywhere. It has the best network in newcastle. Its branch in Metrocentre even opens until 8 pm Monday to Friday (no banks open until this late) and 4 pm on saturday. Its financial products are mostly

Just off the main road of northumberland street this is a handy little bank with 3 tellers a couple of card cash machines and a little room to discuss money with the manager
The service is usually quick here though there is sometimes a queue
It is no where as big as the one near the laing art gallery but is really handy to pop into as it is much more central and near the buses and taxi ranks
