Our first visit to Troytown Farm Campsite and we weren't disappointed. From the moment we arrived off the ferry we were greeted by Sam who took out kit leaving us to make our way to camp. We stayed in a bell tent which was very well equipped. We came with our 8 month old son, a travel cot was kindly provided which saved extra luggage to travel with. The facilities were clean. The ice cream, steak, yoghurt, butter and bacon were all delicious. We waited 2 years in the end for this holiday and it was well worth the wait. We will be back. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much to ask. Thank

Great panoramic seaview.
Friendly and very helpful owner.
Camping gear was picked up from the quay to the campsite.
Good toilet facilities, 4 shower cubicles, wash room and multiple usb sockets for your gadgets.
Camping chairs and cooking stove can be hired from the site.
The camp sells beautiful homemade ice cream and milk produced by their own cows.
It's a short distance walk from many white sand beaches, Turk's Head pub (the only one in the island), post office that sells groceries as well and Coastguard Café.
A regular boat service to visit the other islands for the day in the Isles

Not having camped for years it was pure joy to be in such a fabulous location, such helpful and friendly hosts and even be able to sample the clotted cream and ice cream made on site. For anyone who wants ‘real’ camping in what must be the best location anywhere with the most stunning sunsets over the ocean, this is it! There’s even the opportunity to jump in a kayak and paddle over to see the puffins!

Such a beautiful place, both the people that run it and the location. I can’t fault anything from the stunning views, clean facilities and helpful manner for a novice camper. I was there at a quiet time and had the most relaxing time where I fully reset. And a special mention to the island post office/ store for having such a great range of ingredients in a small place.

Troytown Farm comprises two businesses: the campsite and the shop selling the farm's produce, which includes their famous ice cream and clotted cream.

The farm has a herd of Jersey and Ayrshire cows, producing the rich milk needed for cream. The ice cream comes in 30 flavours, including rose and geranium (recommended). Bought at the farm shop, you can have a waffle cone with up to two scoops, with optional chocolate flake, caramel wedge or - for a completely indulgent and artery-clogging experience - they'll add a scoop of clotted cream.

Strongly recommended.
