Living Oak was born in 2010 when our founder, Stuart MacArthur's, passion for creating oak frame spaces - which bring families together and evokes emotional wellbeing at home - came to fruition. Stuart first felt this phenomenon when he extended his own home with an oak frame.
Subsequently, he found his understanding of the tangible emotional benefits he and his family had experienced was also something felt by his clients as he worked on various development projects with them.This led Stuart to bring his idea of Living Oak to life. I had site meetings with several Oak frame companies, before opting for Living Oak. One of the things I liked was that it's owned and run by an ex-Royal Marine...Stuart expects things to be done properly and on time.
The finished two-storey frame was the single best decision we made and transformed our house. A 'standard' extension would have been dull by comparison. I would strongly recommend Living Oak.

The team at Living Oak built a beautiful oak framed extension to our house and it is amazing!! We considered getting a standard extension but really loved the beautiful, natural finish of the Living Oak design. An excellent team and a fantastic finished real oak building for us to enjoy as a family. If you are thinking of extending your property, these guys are the very best.
