I started the company in 1972 and I am proud that we are still very much in business and still going strong. After joining ABTA we then gained our IATA licence in 1979 enabling us to offer both leisure and business travel to the local community. Our client base is now spread all over the UK. Since then the business has grown and we are the only independent agency in the whole of Calderdale.
Our continued success is due to the quality and dedication of our wonderful staff, the painstaking attention to detail and the personal relationships that we have built with our clients. Recently I have handed over the day to day running of the business to my long-standing manager and fellow director, but I still remain very much involved.

Services
Our business clients are used to demanding last minute and often complicated travel itineraries which we are able to provide using the latest travel technology and our many contacts and suppliers in the trade. Our ability to manage last minute changes and reissuing tickets has proved to be a big benefit for our travel weary business clients.

We’d just like to say a massive ‘Thank You’ to Keir Woodward Travel - especially to Lisa & Karen who organised & made our recent trip to Malta 🇲🇹 perfect in every way. We were very apprehensive about booking a holiday abroad after the Covid travel restrictions were lifted in late July 21, but honestly Lisa in particular, made us feel confident & sorted everything out, & guided us through the process, from the booking, Tests, return into UK forms, etc. I know we were the first couple to do this with you & it was very daunting for you aswell!

Keir Woodward is absolutely amazing. We always come to see Karen and the ladies for our holidays and they are incredible every time. From high budget trips to Bali, Singapore and the Gillis to low budget trips to Rhodes and Cyprus they always find us something which is perfect. They know us so well and always find us something which matches our personality and likes perfectly. Earlier this year Karen organised our honeymoon to California and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We have used Keir Woodward Travel a number of times and their level of service is second to none. In the past we have given them our likes and dislikes and they have put together the perfect package. Recently they have battled to get a guaranteed a non smoking room in Dubhai where usually hotels will not give that absolute guarantee.
