The Corn Exchange Wallingford is a volunteer run entertainment venue for Wallingford and the surrounding areas. It provides drama, art, music and the latest cinema releases in a friendly, welcoming and relaxed environment. The Grade II listed Corn Exchange building dating from 1856 is now owned by the Sinodun Players who bought the derelict building in 1975 and set about converting it into a 175 seat theatre and cinema.
Throughout the following years several extensions and alterations to the building have been made, helping to ensure the venue continues to thrive as a successful entertainment venue enjoyed by audiences, visiting companies and all the volunteers who run the building.

Deceit. Two bored aristocrats spin a web of heartbreak in 18th Century France. It may seem like a game but lives will be ruined and love irrevocably lost. Northern Ballet's bodice-ripping retelling of Laclos' scandalous novel is performed with minimal set and full costumes. The ballet is set to Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, played by Northern Ballet Sinfonia.
Celebrating a day in the life of 'Llareggub' - a small seatown somewhere in Wales - all 69 ebullient inhabitants in Dylan Thomas' timeless masterpiece are assidulously recreated in an amazing feat of memory and virtuosity. Complemented by a stunning original soundscape, it's bawdy and beautiful, sad and sensual and, through the music of language, leaves indelible, unforgettable images of humanity.
The box office is open every evening from 7 pm to 7.45 pm and on Friday & Saturday mornings from 10 am to 1 pm. Please collect tickets from the House Manager at the main theatre door before the performance. Remember to leave plenty of time to avoid congestion as we are still encouraging patrons to socially distance.

Our first visit there and what a charming cinema and the volunteers were excellent it was like stepping back in time but with the bonus of a great comfy seating and great sound system. I hope it continues for the next 100 years also it was great to look at the architectural features would highly recommend and definitely go there again
