If the sun is shining or the sky is crisp, keep wandering through into our enchanting garden. If the sun is warm you'll be sheltered by the vines, and for the cold months, we'll bring you a blanket to keep you warm. We think it's quite unlikely that once you've seen our menu, you'll just come to drink - although you are more than welcome to do so!
We've made it our mission to provide the very best teas, coffees and soft drinks that we can, all sourced from the West County. Everything from our cupcakes to our crostini is made right here in our own kitchens. Our ptisserie is also available for you to take away to enjoy at home. Our menu is kept concise so that everything is cooked and prepared to order.

Services
Our extraordinary garden offers sanctuary for enjoying company or a good book amongst the vines and artefacts scattered around the courtyard seating. The serving shed means coffee and service is provided on site for your convenience. Access to the garden is through the caf or you can avoid the paparazzi and meander the path from the entrance via the Lace Walk carpark.
Toast resides in the heart of Honiton and can be found easily on the high street, or it is accessible through our garden path via the Lace Walk carpark. The entrance is clearly signposted from the carpark - just wander through and either take a seat in the courtyard or carry on through for a seat inside.

We make the 30 mile round trip to Honiton regularly, to visit the amazing Yellow Deli. To our dismay it was shut, so we searched for a worthy substitute. Toast commended itself through appearances so in we went. What a horrible mistake. The waitresses were cheerful and polite but the food was utterly mediocre, poorly presented and grossly overpriced. We should have left upon sight of the cheap and nasty 30p white bap that contained our £10 beef burger. The chips were the soya amalgam type that turn to concrete in your oesophagus and bring on a choking fit. Anyone heading to Honiton, try the Yellow

Fab! It was like Monty Python's SPAM! Beans on toast, egg on toast, mushrooms on......you get my drift. All delicious, with many variations. Also some added twists. Delicious coffee too. And quick, cheerful, efficient service. Oh, and reasonable prices. All in a quirky old building or beautiful garden. Well!

A superb stop on the high street. We discovered this place on a stop during a longer journey. Parking was relatively easy on the road outside and we were met with a great welcome.
Seating is in a long front to back style with table sizes to suit.
The menu especially breakfast (which was available to us at 4pm. 👍) was delightful with all many of light meals catered for.
When the food arrived it’s was very well presented and much larger than we would normally expect.
But the best part of this stop is the taste the food was outstanding so much better than so many place we’ve been to before

This was an adorable place we found open on a Sunday on our drive back homeward. They have toasted sandwiches and breakfast/brunch items. They serve coffees and teas! They have daily specials as well, but we enjoyed out toasted ham and cheese! The sandwiches are served with a salad, that has a nice dressing, poppy seed I think. They had landcombe lemonades, which are made in Devon, that are delightfully yummy!!
They also have homemade ice cream. The ice cream wasn't bad, but had lots of ice in it. Wasn't as enjoyable as the rest of the meal. Staff were around and fairly attentive

This delightful and comfortable Tea Shop is situated on the
Western end of the High Street near the junction with the Cullompton Road ( A 373 Dowell St). Parking in the High St is usually available (1
hour). Public Car Parks are available
nearby. The café offers a home cooked range of hot and cold
delicious lunches and specialises in an excellent range of home cooked cakes
and pastries. It is very popular with the locals many making this their
favourite tea time stop. Everything is
very reasonably and competitively priced There are about a dozen tables in the main area and in the
summer months
