Quite often, with a few essential tools, we are able to remove tree stumps by hand (depending on the circumstances) so long as the diameter of the tree is less than 15 inches and there's a few feet of the trunk still sticking out of the ground. If you have performed your own tree felling or hired another company to do so without leaving a few feet of the trunk sticking out of the ground then you will require help from us.
Wychwood has many calls upon our services to carry out the sectional dismantle of trees in large or small confined spaces or where access is limited. We specialise in the removal of dead and dangerous trees in confined spaces over roads, obstructions and buildings. This requires the highest level of qualified arborist for such a specialist task.
Tree felling is ideal and cost effective when trees are in locations that have an abundance of space. If there are obstructions such as roadsides, houses, public pathways etc, then sectional felling and dismantle is the best option. We provide and install bespoke fencing or wooden panel fences, gardening enclosures and pergolas.
Dangers of deadwood, why should I be concerned? Decay sets in dead branches and spreads fast. The decay tends to recede all the way back to the stem. Basically, there's a large lump of wood bracing to fall as no life is present to support it's weight. Large pieces can fall and causes horrendous injury and damage.
Crown lifting is the selective removal of the lower branches of a trees crown to increase the distance between the base of the trees canopy and ground level. Crown Lifting will give the tree more of an aesthetically pleasing shape and definition and allow more light to pass through. It helps the trees form to grow stronger in time organically than if it were to remain unbalanced.

Robin @ Wychwood Forestry did a great job on our fruit trees and 30 ft long conifer hedge when we invited down to Bucks this last April. Thanks for cutting up that trunk too Rob - should keep us going through winter!
