Narberth Museum
Since 2012, Narberth Museum's home has been the Bonded Stores, a building with a purpose - to keep people out. Stored inside would have been hundreds of kegs full of valuable but duty-free whisky, brandy and rum. Only when the Revenue Officer and the Stores Manager were both present with their keys could the double locks be opened.

The Gift Aid admission price includes a voluntary donation of 10% more than the standard admission price. If you are a UK taxpayer, Narberth Museum can claim back tax from the government when you pay the Gift Aid admission price. If you are not a UK taxpayer, additional donations to support the work of the museum are very welcome.
Services
Narberth Museum is located in Church Street. There is plenty of parking available at the Townsmoor car park a short walk away (5 mins.). The postcode for your satnav is SA67 7AG. Take the A478 north from Tenby. Pass through Templeton and up into Narberth turning left at the top of the High Street and immediately left again into the Townsmoor car park.
The paintings of local missionary Annie Allen raise questions on how we interpret freedom. Born into a world of privilege, she was 'free' to travel widely and her paintings offer a rich insight into the lives of tribespeople in Uganda as well as the culture and wildlife. However, Annie was equally constrained by her obligations as a missionary and the limitations of her gender; particularly as a member of the 'polite' class.
Chapter One, the museum bookshop, stocks an extensive range of books, many of which are available to buy online. As Narberth's only independent bookshop, we have an eclectic choice of classic and contemporary fiction, non-fiction, poetry and children's literature in both English and Welsh. If you can't see what you're looking for please get in touch with us and we can usually get it for you in a couple of days.
Serving a locally-sourced selection of teas, coffees and quality soft drinks and snacks, our coffee shop offers the perfect opportunity to recharge after looking around the museum. Alternatively, why not simply pop in and enjoy a cafetiere of hot, fresh coffee, a glass of cool ginger beer or choose from our selection of delicious cakes in a relaxed and friendly environment?

What a gem. Excellent museum, curated with a contemporary unstuffiness. We spent hours learning all about local characters, work and life: really interesting. Great bookshop and second hand books too, coffee and two Kit Kat’s for £1- what’s not to like. Really worth a visit, whatever your age.

Surprised there was enough information on a village to justify a museum but there is. And a history of an important but sad 'son' of the place.

A lovely little museum, imaginatively done, telling the story of Narberth and the surrounding area. There's a friendly cafe and a wonderful indie bookshop both of which you can pop in and enjoy without paying to go into the Museum each time. A credit to this gem of a Pembrokeshire town

A beautifully designed, interactive space to discover many of the stories that helped to create the Narberth that exists today 🧐

It's a hidden gem - becoming less hidden, as visitors discover it along Church Street. Be surprised and enchanted, browse the extensive new and second-hand book collection, and take advantage of the five days a week opening until after half-term when the Wed-Sat pattern will begin. And you still have time until 28 September to see the beautifully intricate artwork of Charlotte Ashleigh in the upstairs exhibition space.

My grandsons also loved the dressing up, but they were far more interested in sword fighting than in tales from the Mabinogion!!! We thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of the "cogs" and defending Carew Castle even if we did have to redo our defence after the King was most displeased with us!!!
