Carr Farm has grown over a great many years into a local favourite, a destination shopping garden centre and an online retail shop. We are proud to be a locally, and independently, owned and run by the Jones family who have been running Carr Farm since the 1930's when Joseph (Joe) Jones first took over the farm.
Gradually Dave and Sue took over the running of the farm and it became apparent that Carr Farm would need diversify and evolve, by 1982 Carr Farm Garden Centre was becoming well established. Up until recently you may have seen hay being made in the front fields in time honoured fashion. Over the past three decades years the Garden Centre has developed dramatically; The old farm yard buildings have been transformed into a courtyard of small shops.

At Carr Farm we believe a business, just like a plant, takes time to grow and needs the right amount of nurturing and care. As a garden centre we've been growing with you for over 30 years and we have no desire to stop now. Through the years, we've grown very organically. We've responded, just as plants do, to our environment and local conditions.

The UKs leading aquatics retailer now also offers a range of pet accessories and aquariums within their store at Carr Farm. Over 100 fish tanks displaying a wider variety.
As the summers become warmer, many are staying at home rather than going abroad and looking to make their outdoor living spaces into an extension of their home. Our ranges of plants, pots and garden decor will help you to seamlessly transform those living spaces with stylish designs and vibrant colours.
Old Joe's Farm Shop is bringing back a piece of our heritage. Returning to our roots of being a farm shop, Old Joe's is named after Joseph Jones who took over Carr Farm in the 1930s. Though we no longer farm ourselves, Tomas Jones still takes troops to Liverpool market to source the best fresh fruit and vegetables.

Popped in for lunch on the way to Red Rocks in Hoylake for a walk. I remember the garden centre way back when it was literally just a huge metal structure. It has extended a great deal and has a lot to offer, depending on what your after.
My son and I literally just ate lunch in the cafe, the staff where friendly. The food was OK, I think my son was a bit disappointed with his sandwich. It was a bit on the small side, even for an 11 year old boy. I think he was more taken with the huge fish tank and the beautiful fish within.
The cafe is large and had numerous places to sit and eat, it was clean

Love Carr Farm lots of lovely goods on the Farm Shop from local butchers to Jams, marmalades, biscuits. Gifts such as candles. There's a clothes shop, stationery store. Beautiful Christmas decorations in store now. Plus don't forget to visit the Atrium restaurant - good home cooked foods. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

Having started as a small concern based on the plants and gardens side of the business with a few shops on site, Carr Farm has become one of the best all round modern centres on Wirral. With an excellent restaurant, good shops and all you could wish for the garden, you have to go many miles.es to find its equal.
