Ethel Upholstery Interiors and Design is based Leatherhead, Surrey. Established in 2010, we specialise in giving your home a new lease of life through upholstery and reupholstery, recovering furniture, creating bespoke items, making beautiful curtains, blinds, and other soft furnishings and if you wish, supplying a full interior design service.
We have relationships with many fabrics houses and can supply paints and wallpapers too. Just taken delivery of my restored nursing chair. Absolutely thrilled with it. Services
Upholstery is a bespoke service that allows you to revive a piece of furniture, and coordinate it with your existing interior or create an entirely new interior. Upholstery isn't necessarily cheaper than buying something on the high street, it is bespoke craftwork made in this country and not manufactured in a factory.
Ethel Upholstery works closely with other local trades to complete your interiors: this includes interior design, curtains, blinds and other soft furnishings. If you wish us to source accessories and decor such as furniture, lighting, carpentry, wallpaper and paint, please talk to us about commissioning a complete design service.
Ethel Upholstery and Design makes embroidered items to order such as monogrammed cushions, decorated headboards and ottomans. We can make pretty much anything you wish, such as a picture of your pet embroidered, or your initials, or create a special gift for a new member of the family. Please contact us so we can work with you on a design.
We work with a number of fabric suppliers respected throughout the industry. We have a collection of fabric books you can look at either at home or at Ethel Upholstery, by appointment. Below is a list of fabric companies, however it is not prescriptive, if you wish to have fabric from a supplier not seen here, please ask.
