I needed some batten for my Roman Blinds
I'd never visited this timber merchant, so did not know how they operated.
I did see one of the staff seeing to someone who was having something cut on what looked like a band saw.
I noticed the sort of thing I was looking for at the back and made my way over the select 2 pieces.
I went back to the front where 2 men (one younger than the other) were drinking tea.
As they did not look at me I said sorry for interrupting, but could they cut the battens? One of them looked at me coldly and said 'we don't cut wood here' and the both of them waited for my

Went to the site to get some wood to make some simple shelves. Fair enough we didn't know what we really needed, other than knowing the measurements of the space we wanted the wood for, but the overall experience was so unhelpful. We asked basic questions in an attempt to get advice but he kept just saying email with your measurements for us to cut to size and collect another day. When we asked for advice on the measurements we might need, because we don't know what sizes things come in, he was again very unhelpful. All round a disappointing trip. The most arrogant and rude people. Tom’s disgusting behaviour has now lost my business. A rude little man on a fork lift that thinks he’s superior to others. ordered thousands of pounds worth of wood constantly during lockdown and delivered and i did online transfers immediately. They delayed and i accepted. Now they have treated me appallingly. Greedy, rude and zero customer service. Never again. Builders depot from now on and 30% cheaper.

Fantastic. The staff here are so helpful. I'm just a diy novice and they always take the time to talk through what I am looking for and help me get the right thing. They cut wood to size and help you carry things to your car. It feels like they are a business who really care about your custom. I highly recommend them.
