Exim Dance Company is a Plymouth based award winning Dance Company known for their fresh and vibrant approach to making dance accessible for all. Providing opportunities for 'At Risk' people in areas of deprivation in Plymouth to participate in socially engaged dance wellbeing services that build on community cohesion to enrich their lives.
Laura was appointed as Artistic Director of Exim Dance Company in late 2016. 2019 saw her selected as one of fifteen South West women to be a part of 'Women in Leadership Programme' led by Women's Resource Centre London where she was invited to deliver a speech at The House of Lords. Laura is a 'This Girl Can' ambassador for the South West campaign led by Active Devon.
Making Waves Plymouth offers professional youth dance training for young people aged 13 - 18 years (up to 25 with disabilities) looking to advance their skills, knowledge and career in dance or those seeking support and guidance on further education opportunities.
Our sessions are aimed to create an open and professional atmosphere where you can gain real life experience learning, making and performing whilst providing the opportunity to follow your own intuition; helping your confidence and independence flourish.As we return to face to face sessions, over the next term we will focus on building strength, flexibility and fitness through a gradual process, re-inviting creativity and openness in the body.

ADAPT Youth Inclusive Dance Company is a weekly dance group for young people age 12-25 years with and without disabilities, behaviour disorders and those in care arrangements. Our aim is to raise aspirations and confidence, offering participants an opportunity to develop skills in contemporary dance and choreography.
Exim Dance Company are delivering multiple weekly 1 hour dance classes for young people aged between 11-16 years in the following areas: North Prospect and Stonehouse. The dance youth groups will provide young people with a chance to improve their health, lifestyle and to get involved in community events.
