Based in Newbury, Berkshire, Touch Physio provides professionally delivered rehabilitation solutions for both human and animal clients with a multitude of musculoskeletal dysfunctions, pre and post-surgical issues, sports injuries, management of chronic conditions and problems coping with the physical demands of daily life.

Both human and animal lives can be compromised by the body's ability to cope and, as humans, we seek treatment to alleviate our suffering. Animals, too, have the right to live enjoyable companion lives and have a good quality of life. As owners and caregivers, it is our responsibility to ensure our animals can express normal behaviours and function without limitation from fear, distress or pain.
Services
Following discussion about you/your animals current and previous medical/veterinary history and requirements, a comprehensive assessment of posture, movement, palpation and neurological feedback as appropriate will be conducted. This may include gait analysis, foot-balance assessment, observation of a functional daily task, sporting technique, technical movement and/or equipment assessment for fit/suitability such as footwear or saddlery.
After graduating from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh, with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in 2002, I went travelling and then worked for many years for the NHS, in Foundation and Community Hospitals, Consultant Clinics and GP Surgeries.

During this time, I gained extensive knowledge and skills in rehabilitation, working in numerous medical specialties including orthopaedics and trauma, neurology, respiratory, paediatrics, hydrotherapy, gym rehab, elderly care and musculoskeletal outpatients, enabling me to draw from a multifaceted experience and therapy base.
A local sports therapist recommended Touch Physio to me as a very professional and very knowledgeable physio service, I was not disappointed. During my first consultation my problems were indentified and my ailment fully explained to me in a way that I understood. The sessions that followed were delivered with the same level of professionalism and appreciation for my sporting/training needs as a competitive cyclist.
Physiotherapy is suitable for most conditions, most people and most animals (provided they are handleable or able to be treated under anaesthetic if necessary). Some conditions or pathologies and certain stages of the healing process do contraindicate/limit some elements of therapy.

However, physiotherapy is a non-invasive therapy and can encompass a wide range of applications and approaches to allow modified or adapted therapy to meet individual needs. The information and detail given by you in the initial assessment will alert your physiotherapist to any of these issues. For this reason, please be as detailed and open as you can during assessment and treatment.

My Brittany had chronic elbow dysplasia. Sadly she had to have arthroscopy on both elbows and was in a sorry way after her op. Restricted to 5 mins only 3 times a day in the garden. I contacted Touch Physio after the initial 6 weeks rest and Lynsey started to work her magic straight away. After 7 sessions spread out over a few months, my pooch is back to running around the woods and not limping, which is fantastic. My Brittany really enjoyed the sessions and greeted Lynsey with her mad Brittany welcome each session. The exercises Lynsey gave us to do after each session were easy to follow and made

If you are looking for a 5 star physio, who is genuinely concerned for her patients’ welfare, then look no further than Lynsey. I have been visiting her for several years for a problematic disc, and due to her excellent care, I am able to continue with my active lifestyle. She is always happy to discuss my concerns/answer my questions, and if there is an issue, she takes prompt action to remediate the situation. Unlike some physios that I have visited, she takes time to study the problem (sometimes masked by other symptoms), and to consider a range of treatments before deciding upon the best

Lynsey is an amazing physio. She has worked closely with my dog for several weeks to ensure he is back to full-fitness following surgery. She is knowledgeable, calm, caring and dedicated. I'm very glad that I came across her details and chose her for my precious boy.

Highly knowledgeable and experienced, Lynsey always finds a solution to whatever issue I present. I have been attending Touch Physio for several years, over which time both my sports injuries and post-operation rehabilitation have been treated in a professional and friendly manner - most importantly, with effective results.

Lynsey has helped me greatly, over a number of years, with long-term joint problems particularly in the back and neck, also with injuries and following 2 hip replacements.
She is always thorough and explains very clearly the biology involved, making it easier to follow her recommendations for rest, home treatments (such as cold/hot) or particular exercises.
I am grateful for the fast responses, especially in times of urgent need, she will go out of her way to facilitate a speedy appointment when needed, and spends far more time with her patients than I ever expected.
This is very hands-on physiotherapy

I found Lyndsey through her website and sent her an email as I needed help with my horse Lanie. From first point of contact Lyndsey has been fantastic, really responsive booking me in an early session and then turning up spot on time. She spent quality time assessing Lanie's issues picking up problems I wasn't aware of that were causing the stiffness in her back. She then treated both the back and ligament problem she had found and left me with some exercises to do before her next visit. Lanie improved dramatically over the the first week and Lyndsey revisited a week later where she then spent
